Title:
  gnome-terminal does not follow the terminal size specified in gconf

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

  I had set the default_size_columns and default_size_rows to custom
  values in gconf-editor -> apps -> gnome-terminal -> profiles ->
  Default. I received an update for gnome-terminal today. After the
  update, when I fire up gnome-terminal, the size is 80x24 even though
  the default_size_columns/rows are still at custom values in gconf-
  editor.

  I tried logging out and logging back in, but this is still the
  behavior.
