Title:
"Show position ..." in Mouse settings modifies responsiveness to
Control (Ctrl) based shortcuts
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
When "Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed" option
in "Mouse and Touchpad" settings is ticked, the ability of keyboard
shortcuts is affected, so that in order to trigger the shortcut
action, one needs to press the bound key twice.
Example: When tilda is configured to toggle its visibility to
"<Control>space", and the option above is set in the same time, you
have to press <Control>space+space to get tilda visible/hidden.
This bug may trick users to believe the shortcut is not working. This
seems to affect most of <Control>-related shortcuts.
Description: Ubuntu 11.10
