Marking libreoffice (Ubuntu) -> Triaged Low as this bug affects a "limited scope of the application".
** Description changed: Binary package hint: openoffice.org - When text in header field used for autofilter is rotated 90 degrees and - is of date type, text is moved out of view when autofilter is turned on - because filter arrow seems to require an additional line in the rotated - text box. Try turning Autofilter on and off in the attached file and - you will see the date text get pushed out of the cell which is only wide - enough for one line of text. This doesn't happen for the cells with - simple text in them. It also doesn't happen in Excel with this same - spreadsheet. + 1) lsb_release -rd + Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch) + Release: 12.04 - Using Open Office vers. 2.4 under Ubuntu Hardy Heron. + 2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-calc + libreoffice-calc: + Installed: 1:3.5.0~beta2-2ubuntu4 + Candidate: 1:3.5.0~beta2-2ubuntu4 + Version table: + *** 1:3.5.0~beta2-2ubuntu4 0 + 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages + 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + + 3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Calc via the Terminal: + + cd ~/Desktop && wget + https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/275676/+attachment/362845/+files/filter_test_file.xls + && localc --nologo filter_test_file.xls + + Data -> Filter -> Hide Autofilter + + and none of the text shifts. + + 4) What happens instead is that some of the text in the Autofilters are + shifted to the right.
