Hi

I've not looked at it for a few months but the issue was as follows:
Let's say I'm moving the pointer from left to right to select an icon.
On the way, I move the pointer across several icons I don't want to
select. As it passes over each icon, the icon is highlighted at the
same time the pointer disappears. Only when the icon is
"unhighlighted" does the pointer reappear. It would be useful to have
the pointer on screen all the time - whether over an icon or not.

Does that make any sense?

  Unity System Settings Accessibility

Bug description:
  Hi

I hope this is the right place to submit a bug - never done it
  before.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and gnome "classic". I have an eyesight
problem so have set everything to large.

As I go to applications/system tools/system settings a window opens
with Appearance, Mouse, Keybaord, Network etc. The problem is that
as I move my pointer over an icon - the pointer disappears when it's
over the icon. I find this makes it really awkward to use especially
as sometimes I run in high contrast and when the icon changes colour
to show the mouse is over it - it wipes out the background colour.

I have tried several themes but no change. I have also asked around
on my local Linux mailing list and nobody can find a fix.

Could we make it such that the pointer never disappears ever? - I feel
it makes it very difficult to use if (like me) you're very short
  sighted.

  Thanks
