Title:
ubuntu 11.10 Synaptics Touchpad does not work when wake-up

Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10. When I put netbook to sleep by
closing the lid, when it wakes up, the synaptics touchpad is not
working. The mouse is working on the password dialog. Once I enter
the password and my earlier session resumes, I find my touchpad not
  working.
