Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can
become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try
this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not
need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want
to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one
until you find the problematic one.
You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

Title:
Firefox 10.0.2 not respecting system proxy settings in 64-bit 11.10
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
It *seems* if you start FF under the "right" proxy settings then
things work, if however you change the system proxy settings FF does
not pick up the change. And it should. So, for example, I am at work,
wake from hibernation, set proxy, go to FF, and all I get is "Unable
to Connect".
I'll try with safe mode and update the report if it goes away, but I
don't think it's going to...
Hope that's all you need...
Thansk, The Captn
