It happened to me with thunderbird. Also when a window is maximized and you drag it out by click and push from the top to the middle of the screen, nothing happens.
And when you just click on it, the close/minimize/maximize buttons should appear but fail to do so. Giving focus to the application (with either ALT+TAB or clicking on the window) and then moving and touching the top of the screen fails to open the application menu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374078 Title: Double clicking a maximized window frame does not restore window Status in GNOME Desktop Common Files: New Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-dekstop Normally a double click on a window's titlebar the window should restore from maximized to user set size. This works in normal cases however when an application starts maximized and the user tries to performs this procedure in order to restore the window size(expecting a smaller window only covering part of the screen). The window flickers and for a brief moment as I assume it obtains the previous user set size but then goes back to cover the whole screen but not in maximized mode. 1. Start firefox(mine starts in maximized mode, other applications does not) 2. Double click on titlebar To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-desktop/+bug/374078/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
