Title:
Adobe Reader and Evince 0.6.1 cannot play sound of pdf

Status in Evince document viewer:
  Confirmed
Status in “evince” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evince

I would have prefered to file this bug to Adobe Reader, but launchpad tells
me, that
  Msg:
"Adobe Reader" does not exist in Ubuntu. Please choose a different package.
If you're unsure, please select "I don't know"

But: In synaptic "Adobe Reader" Pdf viewer is displayed as installed
  with two asterix.

  Ubuntu 6.10 german version.

Got a pdf as attachment to an email.
pdf opens and plays imbedded sound well in windows.

In Ubuntu neither Evince (default-viewer) nor Adobe Reader can play the
sound. Text and images can be seen without problems.
  Adobe reader opens with msg:
"The plug-in required by this 'Rendition' action is not available.
Information about the missing plug-in may be available on Adobe's Web siet." OK.

No information which plug-in is required!!! If it cannot download
itself it should tell at least what's missing.

Adobe Reader Help > Online Support or Expertsupport doesnt have any
  effect (no browser opens ...)

  on http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ and
  http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html for adobe reader
I also didn't find any hint about plugins .

Other files with sound (mp3, wmv, avi) play well.

  Gruß, Gerhard
