Title:
Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
My LAN is configured via /etc/network/interfaces because I have fixed
IP, DNS and so on. Network manager understands that we are working in
unmanaged mode and does not touch eth0. Hoewver, when I connect my HTC
touch to USB port, it tries to manage all interfaces (not only new
created especially for PDA) and also rewrites /etc/resolv.conf with
its own (void) configuration. Internet stops working, of course.
Rewriting correct /etc/resolv.conf helps.
This bug appears after upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10 .
