Ok, I think I found the issue, will be fixed in the next upload

@Brett, I'm not suggesting anything, just pointing that the workaround
is easy if you really can't wait on a fix, just whitelist things you
need, anyway that's a moot point since that bug being fixed in the next
upload ;-)

Bug description:
  Bug #833397, fixed in Oneiric, seems to be back in version
  3.3.5-0ubuntu3.  I now see both the gnome power status applet icon and
  the indicator one (although only the indicator icon is functional).
