Interesting. Just installed the new precise beta 1 and it seems to work
again (but lightdm=1.1.3)

Bug description:
When logged into a graphical session, I get no acknowledgement from
who, w or last that I am logged in:
$ who

last only reports tty logins, not graphical logins.
