No its still there in 3.5.0

What have been changed is that /usr/bin/libreoffice now is a link,
but not to /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin but rather
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice and that still makes the problem be there.

Title:
libreoffice does not always go to launcher when started with document

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Some times when opening a libreoffice docuement, it does not go to the
unity launcher (no icon) and therefore also is not in the alt-tab list
  so I can't alt-tab to the application.

To reproduce: try opening and closing a openoffice document many times
by dubble clicking a docuement in nautilus of from a terminal och make
a keyboard shortcut to start it "soffice Document/myspreadsheet.ods"
