Yeah I just noticed that the reported issue only occurs if the apps are
seperated by workspace so I will mark this invalid since alt-tab
switching should be per workspace.

Title:
Chromium some times doesn't appear in the Alt-Tab switcher

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Noticed this today. Went away from my computer, came back. Chromium
was the only thing running. Loaded x-chat and a terminal. Tried to
Alt-Tab back to Chromium but it doesn't appear in the switcher list.

I've had similar things with Emacs but assumed it was Emacs only. I
use virtual desktops and have them hotkeyed and normally have Emacs on
the fourth desktop. Might be related.

Chromium still appears in the launcher bar and clicking on it raises it. It
still doesn't
  appear in the Alt-Tab list.
