-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to software-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950049 Title: Ubuntu software centre incorrectly offers "install" option for installed apps Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Steps to reproduce: 1) Perform search for installed package (e.g. "monodev" results in the "Mono Develop" package being returned at the top of the list) 2) Select first entry so that the "Remove" button is displayed 3) Amend search string so another installed package is returned top of the list (e.g. change string to "mono" and "Mono Runtime" package becomes first item in results) Expected Behaviour: Installed package has a "Remove" button Actual Behaviour: Installed package has an "Install" button (yet it also has a Green Tick overlay suggesting it knows it is installed). Clicking "Install" results in the "Remove" behaviour occuring, leading to confusion.
