Oh, it turned out that my .desktop file for the terminal was incorrect.
Fixed now, sorry for the noise.

Title:
Firefox gets seen as a terminal if started from a terminal
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
If I type 'firefox' in a terminal, the firefox window gets associated
with the terminal icon in the launcher bar. Also when using alt-tab
the firefox window is under the terminal group.
See attached screenshot where firefox is running and have focus, but
the firefox icon in the launcher bar doesn't have any arrows.
I can't reproduce this problem with other applications, like chromium
or libreoffice, only firefox so far. This is mainly a problem when a
CLI opens up the default browser, like the 'bzr lp-propose' command.
