Title:
[soundnua]: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04
gnome-control-center:
Installed: 1:3.3.91-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 1:3.3.91-0ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 1:3.3.91-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Now this is probably something in the kernel because it is wierd. I
had opened the sound applet and tested my speakers (no results, I'll
persue that further), and I noticed that my sound was set up rather
high. So I clicked on the speaker icon in the top panel (or whatever
it is these days), and set the volume down. Then I clicked on
preferences in that dialogue box, which caused a dump and termination
of the applet. Apparently the system cannot tolerate launching a
second instance of this particular item.
I don't have a good enough handle on the way the app launcher works to
comment further.
