I try'd to activate the ATI RADEON 512MB graphics on my ubuntu 11.10,12.4 beta 
and i got 2 options to download 
1) ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver (post-release updates)
2)ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver
 Both will not have progress untl I try to cancelit or quit it from the launcher
And it will not quit untl the progress bar completes and and a window popup 
saying it crash'd

Bug description:
   When downloading driver for ATI graphics card after 9.04 install
  window appears telling me "Jockey Backend Crashed File Bug report at:
  Ubuntu-bug jockey-common. New to Ubuntu. Only assuming I'm going down
  the right path here.
