I did not expect to get another window to use for this request for help.
i am able to use s/w site until today, on this hp proliant pc, when i
downloaded wunderlist, i then could not download any more stuff at all.
this was not stated in wunderlist. i did not change any settings in this
pc. an hp proliant ml310 w/512mb ram. i have 2 other pcs which i somehow
killed the functionality of using the 3g novatel vm760 wireless modem
in these other pcs. which always worked up till this point. 1 is a
rambuss pc w/p4 at 1.8ghz, and the other is a celeron 2.6ghz pc, and
both will not allow any more use of the modem at all no matter what i do
to remove or change settings anywhere, this happened during updating
automatically offered updates and then modem stopped deliberately. it
works fine on this hp pc, but it was working on the dell rambuss and
emachines celeron pc. is there a s/w package i should look for in the
non-communicative pcs to remove? this is a desperate problem, i have no
income, and cannot ever buy a new pc with windows crap! i need the pcs
to work for my ham radio stuff, too. modem routines must work. modem is
a virgin mobile usb module, and works fine on every pc i plug it into. i
do not know if this is a bug or a bad s/w choice conflicting, i was
given no warning for pcs that lost modem useability. and now this pc
will not download any more s/w from this ubuntu s/w site, due to a
warning of untrusted source!!??!! and when i hit ok, it does not
  download a thing now.
