Title:
Shotwell doesn't remember "Hide photos already imported" tickbox
Status in Shotwell:
Fix Released
Status in “shotwell” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: shotwell
Plug device in, click popup dialog to start shotwell.
Click the device and wait whilst shotwell reads thumbnails.
Click 'Hide photos already imported' (which incidentally should be clickable
_before_ you have to sit and wait for an age whilst shotwell reads thumbnails)
Close after importing photos.
Repeat the process the next time you have some photos.
It seems to me that 'hide photos already imported' seems like a sane
default to have switched on by default. If not, then shotwell should
at least remember the setting from one session to another. Otherwise I
end up having to wait whilst shotwell does the thumbnail dance every
time.
No, i do not want to delete the photos from the device, because I like
carrying round recent photos on my device, so i can show them to
family / friends, and because I may import the photos to multiple
computers.
