Title:
gedit is not given focus when opening a text file with double click
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
New
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I'm not completely sure whether this is a bug in Nautilus, Unity or
Gedit.
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to a folder in Nautilus containing a text file
- double click on the text file
- When prompted whether to display or run, choose display
=> Expected: the file should be opened in Gedit and Gedit's window
should be on front and get focus
=> Observed: the file is opened in Gedit; Gedit's window is on
front/top of every other window but it doesn't have focus.
For example, I typically hit ctrl+F to search the text and I actually
do the search in Nautilus behind.
