I would like to add that this happens only in the main section of the window (the file listing): When expanding a folder that contains only hidden files, the text "Loading..." appears (indented on next line). In the sidebar (in tree mode) however, the text "(Empty)" appears as expected.

".test") I keep the message "Ladevorgang..." and nothing more happens. I go into the directory with the bash and type "touch test.txt". Now Nautils can open the directory. Delete the file test.txt and you get the error again.
