Title:
LibreOffice Recent documents list is always empty

Status in LibreOffice Productivity Suite:
  Fix Released
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Since I upgraded to 12.04 LTS LibreOffice does not populate the list
  of Recent documents.

  What should happen:
  1. Open a document in LibreOffice
  2. Close the document
  3. Go to the menu File > Recent Documents
  4. You should see the file you just closed

  What happens:
  1. 2. 3. =
  4. No file appears on the list, instead there is a grayed out "No documents".

If I choose Open and then Recently used the file appears but I guess
  this is nautilus recent items.

I can see some (not so) recent items in
/.libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu
but newly opened files seem to not be recorded in this file
