Title: gnome-control-center sound forgets chosen preferred input device Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have two USB audio input devices: sound card and webcam I always want to use the webcam for audio input In gnome-control-center I go to "Input" tab and under "Choose a device for sound input:" I select "Webcam C270 Analogue Mono" This works but is temporary. When webcam is unplugged and reconnected the sound card input becomes selected. Worse, when the system is rebooted, the sound card again becomes selected. There appears to be no way to always prefer the webcam audio input.
