FYI, I set up translations for lightm-gtk-greeter, and imported the existing oneiric translations from launchpad: https://translations.launchpad.net/lightdm-gtk-greeter/trunk/+pots /lightdm-gtk-greeter (it should be ok, feel free to double-check though).
