Title:
Tile views and category list are imperfectly aligned
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
In Progress
Bug description:
Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.13.1
lp:~gary-lasker/software-center/alignment-tweaks r2906
There are three imperfections in the USC tile views and category list
on the home screen.
1. The left padding, inside every tile, should be such that the left
edge of the icon inside the first column of tiles lines up with the
left edge of the heading for the tiled area, e.g. "What's New". And
this padding should be identical for the category list. (In the
attached screenshot, the red lines should be the same distance from
the edge of their areas.)
2. The top edge of the first category in the category list, should
line up with the top edge of the heading text in the "What's New"
area. (In the screenshot, the pink lines should be continuous.)
3. The left edge of the category list should line up with the left
edge of the Back button. (The orange lines should be continuous.)
Similarly, the right edge of the "What's New" area should line up with
the right edge of the search field.
(The black lines in the screenshot are from bug 961102.)
