I just discovered this bug while trying to retrieve something very important for my work from a swf.
I really need that data, right now. Unfortunately firefox is trying to use totem to play swf files EVEN WITH THE TOTEM PLUGINS DISABLED. What am I supposed to do? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121237 Title: Totem opens on swf, but cannot play it Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: New Status in The GStreamer Multimedia Framework: Fix Released Status in “totem” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: totem Ubuntu 7.04, german version. Doubleclicking a *.swf opens totem as player, but errmsg is displayed, that totem encountered a problem and a problemreport should be made. Here it is. The report-mechanism (Totem Hilfe > Fehler melden) that took me to this place here gathered informations about the crash, hopefully they are enclosed here automatically. The *.swf is located on a windows-share, but other files in the same directory (asf, wmv, mpg, avi) played well. Since there is no option to attach the *.swf, I will add another follow up.
