Title:
  gnome-terminal crashed with SIGABRT

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Might be a dupe, sorry if it is.

12.04 32bit under VMware Fusion 4, had left it for a few weeks, but
today i updated, dropped to console, killed lightdm and restored home
dir from /etc/skel (to get any new default settings etc, and yes i did
  rechown it!).....then rebooted

Terminal seemed to try and open itself and crash - wierd as i had
cleared the home directory as discussed.
