Public bug reported: To replicate: use a crossover cable to connect another computer. Open the "Edit connections" dialog from the network makager applet. In the settings for the relevant interface: set the IPv4 method to "Shared to other computers".
I just found out the interface itself stays up, but the ip4 address is unregistered after 0.6 seconds, then restored after another 0.6 seconds, ad infinitum.
