Here's the code that constructs and opens the folder path: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/ae8de2241732/xpcom/io/nsLocalFileUnix.cpp#l1819
Note that it is not passed directly to Nautilus on the command line, but instead goes through gnome_vfs_url_show_with_env(). We can't just pass a filename to that function, because that will open the file itself in its app (rather than showing it in Nautilus). However we fix this, we should also make sure that it does not break badly on old versions of Nautilus. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/129219 Title: firefox download manager - Open containing folder with preselected file in nautilus/file manager Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Confirmed Status in “firefox-3.5” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Binary package hint: firefox After a right click on a downloaded file in the download manager, when you choose "Open containing folder" it just open the file manager Nautilus in the folder of the file.
