Title:
nautilus crashed with SIGABRT in raise() - I lost the starter-panel
(on the left) and the top-panel and can not use ubuntu any more
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
This happens several times in the last days:
when I use the Ubuntu-Software-Center (the standard-installer icon in left
starter which can be used instead of apt-get) to install a new software (in
this case Dolphin) the screen flickers, goes away and comes up again. Usually
all is ok afterwards. But in this and 3 other cases of the last days I lost the
left-panel with the starters and the top panel.
So now I am not able to use this ubuntu any more, no program can be
started. With ctrl-alt-del I can end the session and reboot, but then
I get the same: an empty desktop without any means to start a program.
When I delete ~.config (with Life-CD) and restart, it is ok again, but
of course I lost my settings.
