Hi Gerd I have TB11 allready for some time (standard for Oneiric now I guess). I am not familiar with strace, I'm a simple user I do think you have a point to stop using several accounts and start switching profiles. I don't think this is the right solution for me and as there is no help available, I'm going to switch to another client asap ! Greetz, and thank for your reaction !

Running in safe-mode this is very easy to reproduce for me: Having an IMAP mailbox active, I ask someone to drop me a mail to that mailbox. I see the new mail in that mailbox summary, but Thunderbird is frozen completely. The only action I can take is to close (i.e. kill) it via the window manager. With Thunderbird in Natty (very same tb-configuration) I never had such an issue. I really would like to help debugging, if anybody gives me instructions. But I REALLY need advise how to use another Thunderbird version (from the ubuntu repos if possible).
