Public bug reported:

Since Ubuntu Lucid the button to close a window is on the left. In
Firefox tabs are closed on the right side of each tab. This is
inconsistent. However, he Firefox Addon "Tab MIx Plus" allows to shift
the button to the left: http://askubuntu.com/a/18741 . Nevertheless this
should be default in Firefox. This can also be achieved without "Tab Mix
Plus": http://www.bram.us/2010/12/02/positioning-firefox-tab-close-
