Title: Advertises proprietary software Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu Software Center advertises and promotes proprietary software to me. As an adherent to the ideals of free software, I find this offensive. I will never purchase proprietary software or support the proprietary software industry that restrict the freedom of users. Since I will never purchase proprietary software, not only is it offensive, but also useless and extraneous. I would like to be able to disable Ubuntu Software Center from displaying proprietary software.
