Hello Istvan, and thank you for your report! Actually, you do not need
to use quotes to view the other packages. Simply type 'nfs' (*without*
the quotes), and then click the "Show nn Technical Items" link at the
bottom left of the window. This will display all packages, and you will
see all of the expected nfs ones.
Normally, only actual applications (that is, packages that have desktop
files) are shown by default in a search view.
Note that there is a separate bug for the fact that this link actually
does not appear clickable, and that is bug 955030. Once we fix that,
hopefully this will be less confusing for folks.
I'll close this bug then. Please let me know if you have any other
questions, and thanks again!

Title:
software center does not find packages
Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
To install nfs client support on my PC I typed "nfs" into the
software-center's search bar. Only 3 results came up:
- JFTP
- "A practical guide to Ubuntu..."
- "LinuxUser Ausgabe*"
but no NFS related packages.
When I type "nfs-" (without the quotes) into the search bar, then the
NFS related packages come up correctly.
They should appear when typing just "nfs". It is not straightforward
that one has to add the "-" for these results.
Reproduce:
1. start software center
2. type "nfs" into the search bar
3. observe the missing NFS packages
4. type "nfs-" into the search bar
4. observe the NFS packages.
