I used the hardware buttons and even went through the system testing. I just went to brightness and lock settings about an hour or so ago and set it to dim screen to save power, turned off the lock and unchecked require password. The slider was at maximum. I came back now and the screen is stuck in dim mode and won't come back to full brightness or respond to slider adjustments or hardward keys, even if I uncheck dim screen. I am going to restart now and suspect that may resolve issue but wanted to submit this info while it was fresh.
