Chris Coulson, I basically read wikipedia about thunderbird where it described it as "Thunderbird aims to be a simple email, newsgroup and news feed client". This is why I included "client", "news" and "newsgroup".
1. However I see that only one of "newsgroup" and "new" is required since when the user starts to type new.. thunderbird will start showing up. So you can remove "news" from the keyword. 2. As for the "client" keyword I understand it is generic and can be removed if you wish. Summary: "news" and "client" can be removed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973394 Title: Typing email into dash gives no results. Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “thunderbird” source package in Precise: Triaged Bug description: As the title says. If you type mail then thunderbird gets a hit. Whereas email gives nothing. I'm thinking new user here. Also I think Thunderbird could be in the launcher.
