I finally gave up on Rhythmbox and I am sticking with Guayadeque. You
can sort static playlists AND you can export/import radio station lists,
and it doesn't crash on me like Banshee always has. I recommend the PPA
version instead of the default repository version, as Guayadeque is
*gasp* actively developed. And you don't have to add plugins to record
streams or search the Shoutcast directory; it seems like these items
were baked in from the start.

I've also tried Audacious, Clementine, Amarok and Exaile, but I keep
coming back to Guayadeque for its combination of features and stability.
I am done app-hopping now.

Rhythmbox is a dead end.

Title:
  Cannot sort static playlists

Status in The Rhythmbox Music Management Application:
  Confirmed
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: rhythmbox

  Architecture: i386
  Version: 0.9.7-0ubuntu1

Static playlists cannot be sorted by a column. I think this used to
work with earlier RB versions. Sorting by column works with "Smart
  playlists" though.
