>From within our Community
=========================
One of the Desktop Architects, Aaron Seigo, has pulled together some
thoughts that reflect our collective desire to maintain the dynamics of
the open source development process while working as an interconnected
community of developers focused on addressing common problems.

Desktop Architects Meeting 2 - May 8-9 (Frankfurt, Germany)
===========================================================
The Desktop Architects had agreed in December that the next meeting
should happen Europe and we have found a location. The DAM 2 meeting
will leverage a conference facility at an IBM location in Frankfurt
(free is a very good price).

FRANKFURT-SOSSENHEIM Wilhelm-Fay-Str. 30-34 65936 Bld. 52

We will send out more details shortly on the location in Frankfurt,
suggested hotels, and the reception.

DAM 2 Agenda:
The agenda for the DAM 2 meeting is now coming together. It will involve
follow-up on the DAM-1 recommendations, Portland Project, developer
resources, summit reports, open drivers as well as some other priority
topics that we were not able to address at DAM-1 (Desktop standards,
LSB, freedesktop, multimedia, sound, etc).

Look forward to seeing you all on May 8-9 at the DAM 2 meeting in
Frankfurt.
