i am not 100% sure that i understand what are you trying to do do but
anyway ...
However if you try to get access to the type library. The internal
representation between 2.4 and 3.0 has changed. In 2.4 we had only the
types.rdb in the program directory. In 3.0 we have a types.rdb in the
URE (ure/share/misc/types.rdb) with the URE types and we have for
example an offapi.rdb in the program directory of the base layer with
all additional office types.
The type library isn't localized, there should be no difference if you
use an English or German office.
