One of the things we've discussed here on the list is the availability
of the various books (especially the Developer's Guide) as prepared
documents for download/offline reading.

I have been working on some ideas for this, and have added a new link to
the three big Wiki books on the Documentation Wiki page:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation

The new link in "Download as PDF / ODT" at the bottom of each Wiki book
section takes you to a new Wiki page:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Wiki_Books

On this new page I've added a STATIC ODF and ODT file for the
Administration Guide (only doing one book as a test - others will be
added later).

This provides a fixed static document valid for a specific release that
people can download and read offline. The latest and most current
version will always be the Wiki version (the functionality for creating
your own custom PDF remains in place of course).

Would this fill the need for downloadable documentation for offline reading?
