Agreed, I am one of those people, I even followed Upayavira into
hinting about this on the users list

So Andrew you're right, there was community involvement, but not in the
usual open-on-the-list way due to the F2F meetings at the GT. We
deserve a virtual slap on the fingers for that I guess...but it's for a
good cause!
I agree with Daniel about the general rules for adding new stuff, but
at the same time Sylvain's jdbi sample is exciting enough to have it in
the next release IMHO.
