(objectClass=) is valid right?  (givenName=)  also valid.  Find record where 
user does not have a first name (not present)

If object is defined in your schema, that would make Felix's valid too.  I am 
not understanding what attributetype assertion needs to be added.  Can you show 
an example?

oops sorry, it is not a valid filter AFAIK, the attributetype
assertion value is missing
