My guess, You haven't built the rest of Excalibur, and since Excalibur Event
2.0 is never released it doesn't exist on the remote repository.
maven multiproject:install at the Excalibur top level should work, and include
to build Fortress, in less than 10-15 minutes I think... :o)
or you can more simply
cd excalibur/event
maven multiproject:install
which will install just the event jars (in about 10-15 seconds :-)
