I'd like to drive a point home.
Let it be completely clear that EACH and EVERY file that is in our version control system OR available through our website OR available from us through other means MUST have a VALID APACHE LICENSE VERSION 2.0 LICENSE HEADER at all times.
This includes all documentation files, maven buildfiles, project.properties files, EVERYTHING.
Let it also be clear that EACH and EVERY distribution (whether zipfile, tarball, jarfile, or anything else) that we make available MUST include the APACHE LICENSE VERSION 2.0 with a name of 'LICENSE.txt'.
In addition, each and every distribution MUST include a file named 'NOTICE.txt' that includes at a minimum the following text:
This product includes software developed by The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/).
Yes, it is a little anal. No, it is not up for discussion. More information is at
http://www.apache.org/licenses/
in particular. You MUST be familiar with this document:
http://www.apache.org/dev/apply-license.html
You SHALL apply it properly to everything you do at apache.
I *will* shout loudly, madly, and uncontrollably when licensing policy is not followed and I will be otherwise unreasonable about it in nearly every possible way.
