Thanks David.
Can you clarify what you mean regarding the james-geronimo plugin and
the sendmail sample? Did you make code changes to the sample itself (or
the doc). I didn't notice any changes in the sample that coincided with
the introduction of the plugin. Also, it looks like the james plugin is
currently dependent on trunk. I suspect this is required given the
changes in the javamail spec/impl that were necessary. If so, then I
suspect that we would not have success using that plugin for 2.1 or
2.1.1 samples.
Also, could you update the list of samples to indicate which ones you
have updated, if they have been validated on both tomcat and jetty, and
if the documentation has also been validated?

looks pretty fair to me.
I actually worked on the james-geronimo plugin to enable easier testing
of the sendmail sample but got sidetracked in security issues. Let me
know if you want to take a look. I think it's trunk only but might
still be useful to use in that sample.

I have been having a hard time keeping up with the status of our

In an effort to keep better track and ensure that we eventually
release something I have created a wiki page:

Some of the content in this page should perhaps move elsewhere

wish to discuss some of the assertions please chime in so that we can
reach some closure.
This was a quick attempt to capture the state of things. I'm sure
that I've missed things or glossed over some issues so please let me

Probably most controversial are the "Misc questions/issues" where I've
attempted to summarize the concerns that have been raised thus far.
