The problem was not the server was started but that the help information
displayed in a separated window which was closed immediately after display.
The solution is to display the help information in current command prompt if
-h, -help, or --help is supplied.
I tested the fix on windows and ubuntu for trunk, branch 21 and branch 22.
Please help to verify and close this JIRA.
