Hi Samuel, For browsing the git history, I suggest you to use a desktop client (list available at https://git-scm.com/downloads/guis).
Otherwise, on the GitLab UI, there is a source tree ; you can "Find file" to get the https://gitlab.com/scilab/scilab/-/blob/minor/scilab/modules/console/help/en_US/input.xml URL. From that you can use either: * the "History" button to have a commit list but no diff * the "Blame" button to have the git blame output formatted in html Regards, Clément > -----Original Message----- > From: dev <dev-boun...@lists.scilab.org> On Behalf Of Samuel Gougeon > Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2023 9:27 PM > To: List dedicated to development questions <dev@lists.scilab.org> > Subject: [Scilab-Dev] Gitlab: how to directly go to a file of a huge commit > > Hello, > > It's a Gitlab question more than a Scilab one, but i have found nothing in > StackOverflow (may be with wrong search keywords). > > I tried to track the history of the /en_US/input.xml file. > This file was modified in the commit > https://gitlab.com/scilab/scilab/- > /commit/05ab34e4cce872881c9b84ad5834d2b90555110b > But this commit involves 2289 files.
