I'll get to work on this but.. I still think the java plugin needs to be patched to produce a debug output directory and a a release output directory. Most of the IDEs that I use have separate debug and release output configurations. I'm working with Boost.Build and bjam and that build environment has separate debug and release configurations. It is so obvious.
