    Resolution: Won't Fix

The current multiproject plugin only includes project.xml files one directory
below the project root, ie the above case does not apply anymore. AFAIK, none
of source control systems that are addressed by the ant defaultexcludes keeps
copies of files with the same name in their config directories.

> [multiproject] maven.multiproject.excludes should include default excludes
> values.

> When the multiproject plugin searches for project.xml files, it finds them
> even if they are in directories that are typically excluded, such as a "CVS"
> directory.
> For example, it found a project.xml file that was not only in <projectRoot>,
> but also in <projectRoot>/CVS/Base, which caused it to build the project
> twice.
> I think that the default excludes values from ant should be good enough.
