Why? It's free and it's the best way to keep some level visibility.
For people submitting issues no, for developers yes. It just raises
the general level of awareness by a great degree and is not hard to
do. Makes the process of patching so much easier as well, and makes
documenting how to do it easier. From a management perspective I
think it's a no brainer, most people use Eclipse and for people
like me who don't I would use it to make it easier for others.
I just don't believe in enforcing desktop tools on developers here -
it's another barrier to entry. Encourage, promote, recommend,
document - sure, just not mandate.
IMO only, I'll probably use it so it's really up to everyone else.
